After considerable debate and discussion (mostly in my own mind) I've come to the conclusion that I really love the new self titled Bon Iver album.
I've never been this nervous for an album. For Emma was one of the greatest things I've eve heard in my whole life, and it made me scared to think of a second Bon Iver album. I don't love it as much as For Emma, but I still think its a great album, one of the best of the year for sure. . . . . . So, I highly recommend listening to it (not that my recommendation means anything).

we love it too. when i heard for emma, it was something you instantly loved and never tired of (for me at least) I feel like the new album is just more complex... i've listened to it a bunch and still feel like i'm not all the way in it. it's still so good though
I always love hearing your recommendations. I think your love for Bon Iver helps me love them more.
I love for emma, i do. but it took me longer to like that cd than it took me to like this new one. I knew I would love it from the first song.

I've gotten kind of obsessive/emotional in my music-listening habits and I've managed to listen to those songs ... a LOT.
